SIR - What does your Technology Correspondent, Robert Uhlig, mean when he writes: "The station will eventually be the brightest object in the night sky and the only artificial heavenly body visible to the naked eye" [Crew blasts off for new space station venture, 1 November 2000]?

 Nearly every time I look up at the night sky I see this or that satellite passing overhead. Am I not seeing artificial heavenly bodies with my naked eye?
