Dear Sir, Mr Ferguson's remark, in response to my letter, that not just teachers, but we all are responsible for our children's attitude towards school, is quite right. I did not mean to imply otherwise. But since most adults are generally unappreciative of their our own good fortune, it is hard to imagine how they will convince their children of theirs. So in practice, it is down to the teachers. Although we can hardly blame
them if they fail.
